Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with full refund. Spoke with a Supervisor and my issue was resolved. Full refund was issued.
Since January 6th, I have called 3 times regarding the same return. Each time I was told that they would expedite. It is now March 11th and my package still has not been picked up nor, of course, have not received the refund!
Disrespectful and Devalued Customer Service
My husband's and my experience today in one of your stores was an extremely unpleasant one that left us feeling devalued as customers.
My husband and I went into Staples on International Drive in Daytona Beach. We were looking for a desk and chair for his office.
After looking at a few chairs my husband noticed a deal on the red Evergr Vortex Gaming Chair. It had a price tag on it for $109.00. We immediately asked for some assistance. The supervisor came over to help us.
As he looked closely at the price he took it off the box and commented that he needed to check the price at the front counter. When he returned, he commented that the price on the box was incorrect and It is $119. I told him that the box had a price tag for $109. With a hostile tone, he told us that was an error and that he would only sell it for $119 and nothing less and walked away with the crumbled price tag in his hand.
I asked him for his name, and as he continued walking, he yelled (without looking back at us) "it is Matthew!" We went to the checkout counter where Matthew and another employee were checking out other customers. I asked for the customer service number so we could file a complaint about how rude the supervisor was to us. Matthew told the other employee that he would handle my request. Without any apology, he wrote the number and gave it to us on his business card.
While the dispute in question is only over a $10 price difference , it seems misaligned with the values of Staples as a professional organization not to honor a posted price tag, and not to treat a customer inquiry with respect and care.
It states in the Staples customer service guide book displayed on the front counter that you will match any competitors price online or in the retail store, and that guarantee should include your prices as well. I would like you to honor the price that was on the box.

I had 2 accounts and one had been inactivated in April 2024 when you changed your Staples Reward program according to the CS Rep. I was able to simply confirm the status of my other account.
The inactivated account will no longer be used and I simply opened a new one under a different email address.
The CS Rep from the Philippines was very helpful.
She was investigative, resourceful, thorough and pleasant. My issue was resolved.

Rude boss
Hanover Pa locatio : Went today Sat Jan 25th to do an Amazon return. I walked in .
There was 6 people infront of me. Got down to 1 person infront of me. The ONLY cashier working had to stop amazon returns to check out staples customers. There was 5 people in line.
She didn't say be right back, give us any communication, just started helping them. When she finally got back to us, the lady infront of me told her she needed help and asked for an explanation. She stated she has to take care of staples customers first. Fine, but explain that to us!!
Then the lady tried to keep talking to her; she cut her off and said my boss is over there if you want to talk to him. When the lady finished up, she went to try and talk to the boss. He was *** with her. He told her to call cooprate and file a complaint!
She accused him of having a bad attitude and walked out. He said it's not about having a bad attitude! I don't give a crap! As she was walking across the parking lot , He continued to mock her and state that he don't give a *** about amazon customers.
Amazon or not, we are in your store! We are still customers! We need to be treated with kindness and respect just like you guys asked to be treated.
I for one won't return to this store until the boss is fired! And yes I will back that lady up and call corporate.

I use Staples Downtown Greenville, SC a lot. The young lady that's on duty this morning gives me problems every time I come in here.
I don't know a lot about certain things and because I need her help, it must make her mad or something. She gets ugly.

I never file complaints or leave bad reviews but this employee is making me go out of my way to point it out to corporate who can action or record the complaint. I went to the Staples on 937 Paoli Pike, West Chester, PA 19380 , and there I had one of the most short temperance and just plain rude customer service interactions Ive ever received by this employee named Dennis.
I went there just looking for name tag printing material and after having a tough time finding it I went to the check out section because I saw no other employees around except at the printing section and he was doing nothing and there was no one in line to check out so I asked Dennis where I could find the material. He told me to check a certain aisle but I had just come from that section and I was confused if I was looking for the right thing and was unsure if I had missed it so just to make sure I was on the same page I clarified if that was something they typically had or sold and he confirmed that to be the case so I asked him if he knew exactly where it was and if he could show me and without hesitation he fired back at me saying how short staffed they are and that he can not help me (there is no one waiting in line for him to check out, it is late at night and the only people who were there were waiting at the printing section). Without hesitation he snapped in an extremely rude and condescending manner that he made it seem like I was asking way too much of him. I just wanted him to do his job.
I am not trying to be mean but he is a very large overweight man and when I was talking to him he was sitting down that I got the impression that it really was physically too much for him to get up and walk over to the aisle and show me where I could find what I was looking for. I ended up finding what I was looking for on Amazon and I do not plan on going back to staples.
Preferred solution: Acknowledgment from management that this has been brought to their attention.

On 4/30/2024, I drove 66 miles Roundtrip to Staples Store #27, Register 1, Cashier 205****. I provided 34 Recycled Ink Cartridges and a HP Laptop computer for recycling.
The Employee only gave me credit for15 cartridges and the computer. I left the store, looked at the receipt and returned to the Register. The Employee admonished me and advised that their store only allowed 10 recycles. I advised him that my Staples Connect App advised I could recycle 30.
He then directed me to write my name and phone number, email and business name on a piece of paper. He then hurriedly handed me two additional receipts and said Here, they are on these. He had a smirk on his face as he handed me the two additional receipts. Upon returning home (66 miles away), I realized that he deliberately did not add them to my rewards account (575654****).
Im shocked that he would argue against your Companys policy and deliberately deceive me and waste my time by returning to the store the same day and having to call your Customer Service Center to receive my deserved credit. Im appalled that he showed arrogance and a reckless disregard for my time and distance to travel to the store. I would like the Employee disciplined for the wanted disregard and arrogance he displayed to hurry me out of the store with two worthless pieces of paper. I feel I should be compensated one hundred times over for him wasting my valuable time.
He made me feel worthless as an elderly, African American Female, Business Owner. No one should be treated the derogatory way I was treated. Im concerned that I will be treated negatively again if I return to this store. As your slogan goes, it should have been EASY.

I called Customer Service and spoke to Jennifer. She treated me with the respect that every customer deserves and credited me with 30 recycled cartridges for that date. I still feel I should be compensated one hundred time over today for the arrogant Cashier within the store.
I have to take the time to get credit twice in the same day, an additional day and the time to document this unfortunate incident to your Corporate Office. I look forward to receiving a response in the near future.
I wish the Cashier could take Customer Service tips from Jennifer. She was professional and a pleasure to talk to.

Is there even a training program regarding customer service at Staples?
The clerk approached me where I was waiting at the Print Center and asked frowning "What do you want?" Incredulous at her demeanor, I simply waited without responding. So she says "Well, what do you want?" So I explained it to her and I went away wondering, has she even been told that a proper greeting such as 'How may I help you?
might be appropriate?? I went away feeling like I had really impinged on her time and that certainly I must have deserved a good scolding for even hoping to be treated like a human being...

Not sure if I asked this question on the correct page but I am upset and don't understand if Staples can do this:
On 12/5/23 I placed my first Autorestock Order at staples.com for 3 boxes of K-cup Coffee, it was on sale plus 40% off for the first auto restock order, the total was about $55.05. It was scheduled for 1st delivery on 12/20/23.
I just received the order with the price of $195, the price is the normal price with no auto restock discount.
What can I do about this?
Can I dispute with my CC?
I called Staples and waited for 30 minutes and was told their system was down, and to please call back in a couple of hours.
Please direct me where and how to resolve this issue? BBB, FTC or ...?

when reouted to stateside agent, it took 1 dis-connect and another 20 min wait and one more call. then jessica was unwilling nor was able to resolve an order issue. no humanity there.
if it were her family or friends who were having the same problem, the attitude and handling would have been totally different, for sure. this is corporate america.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I still have the gift card that I used at that copy machine.
I just called the automated toll free number to check on the balance, and the full balance is there. When this debacle first happened, the balance was zero.
I don't know when the card was reimbursed, because I haven't checked until now and I haven't received any follow up from Staples (despite a promise to do so). I also haven't been back to Staples since this happened.
After making a few copies, the machine jammed, and I couldn't get anyone to help me. So, I switched to another copier, but it wouldn't let me use my gift card. I used a credit card just to finish my copying. Finally, I was then able to get someone to look at the first copier, because I wanted a receipt with my gift card balance.
The manager at the store couldn't do that - even though it was an in-store transaction! And the gift card was showing a balance of zero, even though I had made only a few copies. Instead, the store gave me an 800 number to call. The first time I called, I got disconnected.
When I called back, the customer service rep tried to refer me back to the store - even though the store referred me to this number! Finally, the rep called the store - confirming everything that I already explained to her - and yet she was unable to refund my gift card. She tried to give me a coupon instead. No thanks.
So, I got screwed out of my remaining gift card balance (about $21) because the store couldn't give me a receipt, after I made a purchase in the store, on a copier that jammed (not my fault).
And I got the run around after calling an 800 number, which I never would have had to do if the store had handled this the right way. Ridiculous!
